Sarad Davenport
Promise of Education Award
This scholarship is available to any Charlottesville High School senior who is a first-generation or low-income student planning to attend a 2- or 4-year college or vocational school.
The deadline to apply is June 1st, 2024. For support with your application, contact Jermaine. The selected student will be awarded $1,000.
About the Award
The Sarad Davenport Award was established in 2022 by Steven and Nicole Le of Charlottesville.
A 1997 graduate of Charlottesville High School, Sarad earned a bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University and a master's degree from Virginia Union University. In 2012, he was named founding director of City of Promise, where he established deep relationships and program models that continue to thrive.
Sarad is founder of DSID, a consulting firm focused on human centered design. He lives in Louisa County
with his wife and three children.
